CalendBoard - your family's smart board
Why everything a household has to coordinate scatters across group chats, sticky notes and memory, and how to pull it all into one place everyone can see.
Eight in the evening. The class group announces that tomorrow is a field trip and everyone needs a hat and a cooler. At the same moment you remember there is a class at four, that you booked the dentist for five, and that nobody has settled who is doing pickup. Some of it is in one parent's calendar, some on a note on the fridge, and some only in somebody's head. And in the morning, as always: "wait, who is taking them today?"
The problem is not that you do not have a calendar. You have too many calendars, and each person only ever sees their own.
A digital family calendar is one shared board for the whole household: every event, class, appointment and task for everyone, in one place the whole family can see. Parents update it from their phone, and it updates for everyone at the same second. Instead of four separate calendars and twenty coordination messages, there is a single picture of the week.
CalendBoard is far more than a digital family calendar. It is a two-screen system: a family organizer app on the parents' phone, and the Home Center, a large board that hangs somewhere central and shows everyone the day, the tasks and the updates. Something written on the phone appears on the board that same moment.
And the kids get their own space: a task board with symbols, colors and stars, where they mark off what they have done themselves and learn responsibility. A visual routine a child understands without the parents repeating themselves a fifth time.
No. A calendar stores dates. CalendBoard is the home's control center: events, tasks, who is responsible for what, and updates, for the whole family, on a screen everyone can see.
No. You install the app, and any home screen you already have becomes the Home Center. Later we will launch a dedicated device that arrives ready to go.
That is exactly what the Home Center and the kids' space are for: they see their own day and mark tasks off directly on the board at home.
The CalendBoard pilot opens soon, and signups are already open. The first families get a free year on the app, and their feedback goes straight into what we build.
